I ran the computer at my church, Broad Creek Christian Church, yesterday. We use Song Show Plus, it's like Power Point but so much better! All you have to do is point, click, and sing! Anyway, I was entering the sermon during Sunday School and got to the part of the sermon where I had to enter the Scriptures that the preacher would be reading and the computer froze! The devil was trying his best to tempt me to not finish that sermon! I went and found a guy that knows how to fix the errors on the computer, he installed the computer, it's a brand new Dell. He was able to fix it. Thank God! Well, I got the sermon in and was working on during the service up until the offering. I just did get the sermon finished in time! lol I had to enter 20 slides for the sermon, where the preacher originally wanted about 7 or 8! I know I didn't have to have that many slides, but to make it appear like he wanted it to I had to. I didn't have time to go back and view it to see what it looked like before the congregation saw it. No one could read the first Scripture on the screen, Isaiah 1:10-16, his point was on a Rebellious Heart. His sermon was entitled Relevance in Our Corporate Worship. He began with 3 reasons people don't attend church and then ended with 3 Heart Conditions that can prevent us from experiencing worship like it was meant to be: a rebellious heart, a distant heart, and a distracted heart. I really had a distracted heart yesterday!! It was an awesome service and sermon! I just had to share that! I'm going to share the sermon notes with 2 other people, if anyone else wants them, give me your e-mail address and I will be glad to e-mail them to you!
Oh, I just realized, I didn't mention my life lesson! lol I learned that I need to be better prepared next time when entering the sermon and not get carried away with how it looks. I also learned that I need to get back to reading God's Word and let him find a guy for me and stop looking. I will continue to chat with people on line but I will not go looking for the right guy for me on line or in life in general. That is not the way to do it!! I woke up at noon today and had my own personal time with God and am going to make it a point to do so every day when I get up! Praying is not enough to make it in this world, we have to read His Word as well to keep in constant contact with our Maker!
